After Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi's keynote address at the Global Business Forum in New York on September 25, CEO of Niti Aayog, Amitabh Kant said that there is no one who can market, position and brand India better than PM Modi. He also said that the keynote address by the Prime Minister was a phenomenal and very inspiring interaction.
Kant, while speaking to Republic TV, said that the address by the PM Modi showed his determination to take India to a $ 5 trillion economy. He said, "Nobody can market, position and brand India better than the Prime Minister himself and he shows his determination to take India to a 5 trillion dollar economy."
The CEO of Niti Ayog also added that the Prime Minister mentioned two critical things in his address to attract foreign investments and boost the Indian economy. "I think the two critical things he said today are; firstly, the radical reform of tax reforms which has been brought recently, that is, bringing down the tax rates much below the global standards. New investments which come in from October 1 till 23, will actually be at 15% and bringing everything else to around 20% puts India in a very very strong position. What the Prime Minister said that this is the beginning and there are many more things that will follow in due course. Secondly, he clearly pointed that India will benchmark itself against global rules, global laws and global governance and that to my mind is sending out a very clear signal to the world to come make in India," Kant said.
