Pertaining to the grenade attack at the Nirankari Bhawan in Amritsar's Rajasansi Village that took place on Sunday, Republic TV has received exclusive reports from top Intel sources, which has confirmed the involvement of Pakistan-based Khalistani terrorists backed by intelligence agency ISI in the attack.

Two key handlers of Khalistani terror organizations who are based in Pakistan and are closely working with Pakistan's ISI could possibly be behind the act, as per top Intel sources.

Sources have further stated that the police has not yet ruled out the role of the group led by terrorist Zakir Moosa, who was earlier spotted in Punjab, and are probing his involvement in the matter.

The police are also interrogating a few Khalistani terrorists who were arrested in the last few months to seek more details.

Simultaneously, agencies have been investigating how the perpetrators of the terror attack acquired the grenade that led to the death of three citizens and several injuries.

On Sunday, in the aftermath of the tragic incident, Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh confirmed that the officials are looking into a terror angle.

"There might be a terror angle here. We will look into it. This is a very unfortunate incident. We will get to the bottom of this incident. This is a Nirankari Satsang which takes place in every village. They were never the target. This is the first time they have targeted the people of Nirankari satsang. They targeted Nirankari Satsang people because they knew that they don't have any security. There could be a Khalistan or ISI link. I will not be able to visit Amritsar today. DGP and Home Secretary will be there," he said.
