The Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Friday filed a charge sheet against air hostess Anissia Batra's husband and in-laws. Anissia had allegedly committed suicide in south Delhi's Panchsheel Park area in July. The police has filed the 25-page charge sheet wherein Anissia’s husband, Mayank Singhvi, her mother-in-law, Sushma Singhvi and her father-in-law Rajinder Singhvi are charged under sections of dowry death.

His previous fiance was as per police, a winner of Miss India beauty Pageant, who approached them and got her statement recorded after learning about Anissia's suicide.
She told the police that she also wanted to share her ordeal.
She has alleged that Mayank once chased her with a knife after which she decided to break her engagement. Her statement is also been mentioned in the charge sheet.
The case was transferred to the Crime Branch in July after Anissia's family alleged inadequacies in the manner the local police carried out the investigation.
Anissia’s father had earlier filed a complaint, alleging that her husband and in-laws assaulted her. He also claimed that he has “evidence against the husband”. Anissia’s brother has also levelled cover-up charge saying the husband “may have tampered the evidence”.
“There was a delay in filing the FIR and the autopsy wasn’t videographed despite order. Even after the FIR was lodged, no arrest was made,” he claimed.
The deceased, Anissia Batra, an air hostess with German airlines had allegedly jumped off the second floor of her house on July 13. She was rushed to Max hospital by her husband Mayank Singhvi where she was declared brought dead. The family of the air hostess has been alleging that she was being harassed.
Anissia’s husband, Mayank singhvi, her mother-in-law, Sushma Singhvi and her father-in-law Rajinder Singhvi are the accused in the case.
