Anupam Kher has words of high praise for Air India after airline takes him to Chandigarh 20 mins ahead of scheduled time. Here's what he said.

Anupam Kher tweeted on Sunday praising aircraft carrier Air India for its functioning. He thanked the airline for its punctuality and efficiency as he had reached his destination Chandigarh 20 minutes ahead of schedule. He was in the city to campaign for his wife Kirron Kher who is a BJP candidate in the ongoing 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

"Thank you @airindiain for your punctuality and efficiency. Reached #Chandigarh 20mins before time. Happy to be here now to help in campaigning for @KirronKherBJP. Jai Ho," he had tweeted.

Earlier Subramanian Swamy had lauded for the same reasons as Kher has done. He has also credited the Indian government and Minister for Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu for the improved efficiency of the airlines.

"Air India is now flying on time more than other airlines. The credit goes to the quiet efficiency and honesty of Suresh Prabhu," he tweeted.

Air India Express, the international budget arm of Air India on Sunday, had been examining the possibility of leasing some Boeing 737 aircraft of grounded carrier Jet Airways. 

In April, Air India chairman Ashwani Lohani tabled a proposal to lease five Boeing 777 aircraft from Jet Airways before State Bank of India chief Rajnish Kumar 
Air India has hired over 150 cabin crew staff from the Jet Airways for its international routes on the Boeing 777 and 787 aircraft to manage passengers on board their international flights to London, Dubai and Singapore.
