In the last 24 hours, violent dust storm activities occurred over many cities like Pilani, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Bikaner and Jaipur, the official informed. These areas witnessed a heavy dust storm followed by rain and thundershowers. Places like Jaipur, Sikar, Alwar and Bharatpur also observed similar weather conditions.
These weather activities occurred in association with an induced cyclonic circulation that was over northwestern parts of Rajasthan. And a trough was extending from this system up to North Madhya Pradesh.
In a video accessed by Republic TV, a huge blanket of dust inching closer towards the city. Shocked residents can be seen using their mobile phones to record the sight in front of them.
In Sikar, power supply was disrupted after the dust storm that lasted for nearly an hour.
Isolated dust storm and thunderstorm activities are expected to occur over parts of North/Northeast Rajasthan. In fact, similar weather activities are likely to occur in parts of Rajasthan during the coming days week, as the successive Western Disturbances affecting the hills of North India will continue to induce cyclonic circulations/trough over parts of Rajasthan.
Even though these Pre-Mon soon activities will not be very severe in nature but will surely help to bring down the maximum temperatures to some extent. Thus, we can say that heat wave conditions will continue to abate from most parts of Rajasthan during the coming one week.
