In yet another shocking incident, Maharashtra Congress MLA Nitesh Rane, who moments ago surrendered to the Kankavli police afrter attacking a government officer in broad daylight, was seen misbehaving and shouting at the police officers in the police station. As Nitesh, who is the son of former Maharashtra CM Narayan Rane, surrendered to the police, he brought his entire entourage into the police station who can be seen misbehaving with the Kankavli police as Nitesh Rane can be seen sitting on the chair.
The visuals show the police trying to calm the situation down, while over 5-6 people can be seen shouting and yelling at the police officer.
As per sources, Nitesh Rane is going to be in Kankavli police station lockup on Thursday night and will be produced in the court at 11 am on Friday.
He surrendered to the police after a Zero FIR was filed against him and his supporters in the Kudal police station on Thursday after they threw mud at an Highway Engineer and tied him.
The case has been transferred to the Kankavali Police Station, from where Nitesh Rane is member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. The FIR has been lodged against Nitesh Rane and his supporters under the Sections 353, 342, 332, 324, 323, 120(A), 147, 143, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code. Earlier, two accused were detained by the police.
Nitesh and his supporters attacked the government official after the local administration was not repairing the potholes on the highway. Infuriated Nitesh Rane and his supporters took the matter in their own hands and resorted to throwing mud on highway engineer at a bridge near Mumbai-Goa highway in Kankavali.
