Days after the death of Apple employee Vivek Tiwari, who was shot dead by constable Prashant Chaudhary for not stopping his car, former president of Indian National Congress (INC) Sonia Gandhi spoke to the deceased’s wife over phone. Republic TV has accessed the picture, wherein Kalpana Tiwari, the wife of the late techie can be seen speaking on phone to Sonia Gandhi. The former president of Congress spoke to the deceased's wife when some Congress leaders went to meet her to extend support in her fight for justice.

This comes even as the Yogi Adityanath's cops are leading a social media fundraising campaign to save the accused constable Prashant Chaudhary. A social media post by the cops, while batting for the accused, says that "he (Prashant Chaudhary) fired the shot in self-defense to frighten the Apple employee."

Meanwhile, even as the family of Vivek Tiwari is fighting for justice, netas are making it a communal issue. Earlier in the day, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi slammed the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, giving it a communal angle, saying “minorities are targeted under BJP.”

Owaisi’s statement comes after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s ‘Hindu’ remark on the Apple employee death case.

"Vivek Tiwari was Hindu. Then why was he killed? The BJP leaders across the country rape Hindu girls. Open your eyes. BJP are not pro-HIndu. They can even kill all the Hindus in order to form the government," he wrote on Twitter on September 30.

The AAP Supremo didn’t stop there as even on Monday, he continued to communalise the matter while tweeting and retweeting about the alleged ‘Hindu’ angle in the case.

Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister met the wife and brother-in-law of the deceased techie at his residence. The UP CM assured the family that the state government will provide all possible help they need in the case.
