'Ayodhya verdict in favour of everyone', says Maulana Asghar Salafi

Maulana Asghar Ali Salafi, the President of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind said the Supreme Court's judgement on Ayodhya case is in favour of everyone.

Maulana Asghar Ali Salafi, President, of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind said the Supreme Court's judgement on Ayodhya case is in favour of everyone. "This is not a victory for Hindus or Muslims, it is a victory for India and Indians. This verdict is in favour of everyone," said Salafi during a meeting at National Security Advisor Ajit Doval's residence on Sunday, November 10.

'Hindus and Muslims have acted very patiently. It is highly commendable'

Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad on Sunday said it is commendable that Hindus and Muslims have acted patiently after the Supreme Court announced it's verdict on the dispute.  "I am really proud of my nation that such a big issue that was pending for years has been resolved so smoothly. Both Hindus and Muslims have acted very patiently. It is highly commendable," Jawad said at a press conference after meeting National Security Advisor Ajit Doval at his residence. 

'A new generation will start building a new India'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed the nation after the Supreme Court's verdict. The Prime Minister in his address said it is time to make a new beginning. "This decision of the Supreme Court has brought a new dawn for us. This controversy may have affected many generations but after this decision, we have to make a resolution that now a new generation will start building a new India," the Prime Minister said.

Supreme Court's verdict on Ayodhya dispute

The Supreme Court on Saturday ruled that Government hand over the disputed site at Ayodhya for the construction of a temple and set up a trust for the same. The Court gave the Central Government three months to set up a committee to construct a temple on the land. The Supreme Court further directed the government to give a suitable plot of land of Five acres to the Sunni Waqf Board for the construction of a mosque.
