Bharuch district: Three killed as car overturns near Rundh village
Police: Three persons were killed and as many others injured when the car they were travelling in overturned near Rundh village in Bharuch district of Gujarat.

Three persons were killed and as many others injured when the car they were travelling in overturned near Rundh village in Bharuch district of Gujarat, police said on Wednesday. The car driver, identified as Chhatrasinh Chauhan, was speeding at the time of the accident which occurred on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday on Amod-Sarbhan road, around 78 km from the Bharuch district headquarter, a police official said.

The deceased have been identified
The police official added that the driver, who survived in the accident, has been booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections for rash and negligent driving and culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The deceased, identified as Mukhtar Ali Saiyed, Mohammad Sheikh, and Nitin Chandra, were residents of Amod village in Bharuch district.

A team of 108 ambulances and police arrived at the site
A bus carrying 50 people overturned near a trench at the Ambaji town in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district. The accident took place when the luxury bus overturned near Trishulia Ghat. It is being reported that the bus tried to take a sharp when it saw another vehicle approaching from the other side and due to the low visibility owing to heavy rains, the bus overturned near the trench. According to reports, at least 21 people have lost their lives in the accident and nearly 30 more people have been admitted to hospitals owing to injuries. A team of 108 ambulances and police arrived at the site. Rescue operations at the site are currently underway.
