BIG STATEMENT: "Pak PM Did Not Express Any Sadness Towards Our Jawans, Why Should We Listen? Times Up For Talks," Says India's Home Minister Rajnath Singh Over Imran Khan's Hollow Statement Over Pulwama Attack

In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack orchestrated by Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad, Imran Khan gave his first statement,  Home Minister Rajnath Singh in his first interview post the Pulwama terror attack, addressed the scripted statement that failed to show any empathy to the martyred. 

While speaking to Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami on Republic Bharat, Home Minister claimed that he 'felt nothing' over the empty statement of Imran Khan that lacked compassion for the martyred and their families.

He said, "Kuch bhi nahi laga, uska matlab nikalne ki koshish hi nahi ki maine, koi jarurat nahi thi. Naa uske gambhirta purwak sunne ki jarurat thi na uska matlab nikal ne ki."

("I felt nothing, I did not try to decipher it, there was no need. Nor was it necessary to give any importance")  

He emphasised on how in the statement the Pakistani Prime Minister did not bother to express his condolences to the martyred and their families, neither did was the attack condemned. 

He said, "Unhone humare sainiko ke prati dukh tak nahi vyakt kiya. Kya sunenge? Baat ka samay samapt ho chuka hai."

("He did not express any sadness towards our jawans, why should we listen? Times up for talks.")

"Jo bharat mein Pulwama mein attack hua hai, na toh uske liye chinta vyakt ki hai, na humare jawaan jo shaheed hue hai unke liye, iss ghatna ko leka khed bhi vyakt nahi kiya," he added. 

("Over the Pulwama attacks in India, there were no condolences expressed for the soldiers nor did he condemn the attack") 

Despite Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad claimed responsibility for the Pulwama attack that martyred 40 jawans, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan through his statement refused to accept his country's involvement and further blatantly asked for 'evidence'.  Meanwhile, the world including has stood in solidarity with India, condemning the brutal terror attack. Speaking over which, Home Minister ascertained how the global community believes that the perpetrators of the attack are sheltered in Pakistan. 

He said, "Iss samaay atankwaad ko lekar puri international community ek manch par hai. Aur antarashi jagat mein yet mante hai iss atankvad ko sarvadhik shelter dene ka jimedaar hai vo Pakistan mein baithte hai."

("At this time, the international community is on one stand. Around the world, it is believed that the ones responsible for sheltering terrorism are sitting in Pakistan")
