Protesting against Lalganj MLA Raj Kumar Sah visiting Harivanshpur, on Sunday, residents of the village in Vaishali district raised slogans against Sah as he visited the village to inquire into the health of villagers amidst the outbreak of encephalitis in the state, which has claimed 179 children as of date. People had put missing posters against him on Saturday alleging that he never visited the area.
Visuals show villagers following Sah, raising slogans as he proceeds through a narrow street and enters a hut where a weak man lies on a cot.
Earlier on Friday, posters had been seen proclaiming that Rs.5100 will be awarded to the person spotting Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav in Bihar's Muzaffarpur.
Earlier on Tuesday, wife of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav said that the death of the children is due to the negligence of the CM and due to his corrupt and insensitive system. She went on to say that in 14 years of Nitish Kumar's rule, every year there had been such deaths but there has not been any step to stop the epidemic.
Meanwhile, her own sons and RJD leaders Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav have been silent on the deaths of children in the state.
On the other hand, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Sushil Modi have been silent about the Encephalitis outbreak, with the former slamming the media saying it to 'stay in limits' and the latter asking reporters to 'leave the press conference if they want to ask about the death of the children'.
From 'Litchi' to 'excessive heat', Bihar ministers have been giving bizarre excuses to the reason of the outbreak, even as no substantial solution can be seen., while Minister of Agriculture in the Government of Bihar Prem Kumar said that it is a conspiracy against 'litchi'.
