Bihar police arrest 4 people involved in a double murder case in Gaya

According to the reports, the Bihar police on Friday arrested the prime suspect identified as Sujit Kumar alias Terel Yadav along with his three associates

The Bihar police on Friday have arrested four people involved in a double murder case in the Chandauti area in Gaya district. The motive of the murder was unclear but the police seized around 1 lakh cash and other belongings of the victims from the accused, as per reports. The bodies of the victims were recovered on August 23 by the family members and an FIR was logged in the matter.

Rajeev Mishra, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) said, "On August 23, two bodies were found after which the family members registered an FIR. The prime suspect involved in the incident was held today along with his three associates. They killed both the deceased, identified as Prakash Kumar and Rahul Kumar, following personal rivalry. Another person named Amit Kumar has surrendered himself."

According to the reports, the prime suspect has been identified as Sujit Kumar alias Terel Yadav, who was arrested on Friday with his three associates identified as Ravi Raj, Rinku Kumar and Niket Raj. The police seized Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand cash, 5 mobile phones and a vehicle from their possession. Further investigation in this regard is underway.

Other incidents

Earlier, a young woman and man, both aged 25 were found dead in Bihar's Munger district with their skulls blown away by gunshots. The woman was an RJD MLA, Vijay Kumar Vijay's niece. The police are investigating the double murder case. The bodies of Mohammed Asif and Twinkle Yadav were recovered from the Sadar block premises in the Mofussil police station area, around 180 km east of Patna, on the evening of September 20, district Superintendent of Police Gaurav Mangla said.

Twinkle Yadav had been living in Delhi for some time and preparing for medical entrance tests. She had come home when the incident occurred, according to the SP. Meanwhile, Asif was a local resident whose father eked out a living in Saudi Arabia. Yadav's paternal uncle, Vijay Kumar Vijay, is the sitting Rashtriya Janata Dal legislator from Munger and had also represented the Lok Sabha constituency in the 1990s.
