The Andhra Pradesh BJP unit has condemned YSRCP's move to repaint village secretariat buildings across the State with a colour pattern that resembles the party's flag colour. The tricoloured wall of a village secretariat building at Tammadipalli village in Anantapuram district was repainted with a new colour and has been receiving a lot of criticism. The images that show the replacement of the national flag have gone viral on social media.

'It is highly condemnable'

"YSRCP has been painting colours resembling their party flag on buildings. This is not the right thing to do. They have even replaced a tricoloured village secretariat building colour and it is highly condemnable," said BJP's General Secretary V Satyamurthy.

'Why are funds being used from Govt exchequer?'

BJP spokesperson Lanka Dinakaran on Friday condemned the act and termed it a "misuse of public money". She further questioned the Government and said, "The act of colouring the buildings in resemblance to the colours of the ruling party flag is it not misusing the public money? Why are funds being used from the government exchequer? BJP strongly condemns such kind of activities, the public money should be used in the public interest, rather than the party's  personal interest," she said
