The relation between the Shiv Sena & Bharatiya Janata Party has almost broken. Senior leaders of both the parties are verbally attacking each other. A few days ago, Shiv Sena’s chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut had reiterated that, as per the party’s national executive decision, Shiv Sena will contest alone in the upcoming Loksabha & Maharashtra assembly polls. These statements have given an indication that, now, there is a very minute possibility of an alliance between both the party. But one move of the BJP may have eased some tensions between both the parties.

The film wing of the party, BJP Kamgar Aaghadi, has demanded to make 'Thackeray' movie tax-free. The BJP’s film unit has also written a letter to the cultural minister of the state Vinod Tawde & requested him to make 'Thackeray' tax-free. In their letter to Tawde, film wing has written that “'Thackeray' movie is slated to be released on 25th January."

This movie is based on the life of Bal Thackeray, who was a great orator & a courageous leader.  Bal Thackeray's thoughts & lifestyle have been shown in this film. That’s why we want to request you to make it a tax-free movie & should not take entertainment tax so that common man goes to the cinema hall with his family to watch this movie.

BJP move is being seen as a move to ease tension between old allies. Recently BJP president Amit Shah had said that “If Shiv Sena comes together then they will help Sena to win seats but if they don’t then BJP will defeat them”.  Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had also said that “BJP will aim to win 40 seats out of 48 seats in Maharashtra”.

Both these statements have miffed Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray. Sena had hit backed at Amit Shah & Fadnavis and told them not to expect Shiv Sena for an alliance as they are not interested.

Sanjay Raut is the producer of the 'Thackeray' movie & entire 'Thackeray' family is hoping that this film should become a blockbuster & that's the reason that Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray & his wife had personally come to I-max Wadala for the trailer launch & appealed to the people to watch the movie. Though Maharashtra government has not yet decided whether to tax-free this movie or not.
