BJP MP Manoj Tiwari enacts as Lord Parashurama at Ramlila in Delhi

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari played the part of Lord Parashurama at Nav Shri Manav Dharm Ramlila in Model Town, Delhi on Tuesday. Manoj Tiwari targeted the Kejriwal government in Delhi. This comes after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's statement on Manoj Tiwari referring to NRC in Delhi.
Manoj Tiwari, who appeared in the role of Parashuram said, "It is a pleasure to be a part of Ramlila to popularise stories about Lord Ram. I am playing the part of Lord Parashurama who had fought against unjust kings." Referring to the Delhi government Tiwari said, "The government here has cheated people and now the time has come to end sin from Delhi."

Apart from Manoj Tiwari, MP Ravi Kishan will be seen as Angad, Bindu Dara Singh will be seen as Hanuman, and Ravana's character will be played by Bollywood's famous Shahbaz Khan.

Kejriwal's jibe at Manoj Tiwari
Earlier, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was asked about his views on the implementation of NRC in Delhi as promised by BJP MP Manoj Tiwari. Responding to the reporter, the AAP chief took a jibe at the BJP leader, saying, "Manoj Tiwari will have to leave Delhi if NRC is implemented in Delhi". This has come in the aftermath of efforts made by the BJP government to segregate Indian citizens from illegal migrants through NRC. BJP's Manoj Tiwari had called for NRC in Delhi, adding that illegal immigrants who have settled are 'dangerous'. He also maintained that the NRC demand will be part of the party's election manifesto for the upcoming assembly polls in Delhi.

About Ramlila
Ramlila is a dramatic folk re-enactment of the life of Rama according to the ancient Hindu epic Ramayana; that are usually staged during the annual autumn festival of Navratri in India. After the enactment of the legendary war between Good and Evil, the Ramlila celebrations climax in the Dussehra night festivities where the giant grotesque effigies of Evil such as of demon Ravana are burnt, typically with fireworks.
