BJP plans grand return for PM Modi in Delhi, 30,000 people to attend

Celebrating PM Modi's successful US visit, sources have reported on Saturday that BJP's Delhi wing is preparing a grand welcome for the Prime Minister.

Celebrating PM Modi's successful US visit, sources have reported on Saturday that BJP's Delhi wing is preparing a grand welcome for the Prime Minister. Sources report that around 30,000 people will be a part of the event ready to welcome PM Modi when he lands in New Delhi. People will reportedly queue for nearly 3 km long from the Delhi airport to the Prime Minister's residence. PM Modi is expected to arrive in Delhi on Saturday.

PM Modi's grand welcome

Sources further report that people will be dressed in traditional attire to welcome the PM's homecoming. Music programmes are also reportedly arranged as a part of the welcome party. BJP has requested workers to be present in huge numbers for the event, as per sources. Sources add that all BJP MPs, representatives from the NCR region and all ministers will be present to welcome PM Modi.

PM Modi in the US

Prime Minister Modi has just completed his six-day US visit. He attended the mega Howdy Modi event on the first day and addressed 50,000 Indian Americans at the NRG Stadium in Houston. US President Donald Trump also made his appearance at the event. The very next day, on September 23, the Prime Minister addressed the UN Climate Summit at the UN headquarters in New York. On September 24, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Gandhi Solar park and spoke at a special program to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary. He also met US president for bilateral talks. He addressed the GBF on Wednesday and culminated the trip by addressing the UNGA on September 27.

PM Modi's UNGA address

While there were many memorable moments throughout the trip, PM Modi's crisp UNGA address stole the show on Friday. Contrasting PM Imran Khan's 50-minute long speech, India's PM Modi wrapped up his entire speech within the allotted 15 minutes. PM Modi used the global stage to reaffirm India's commitment to fight against terror, climate change. He also showcased India as a global leader in terms of cleanliness, renewable energy, and development. PM Modi also spoke about India's rich heritage and culture, pride in the world celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the message behind being elected with the world's biggest mandate.
