Bhartiya Janata Party will be holding a condolence meet for the late Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, on Tuesday, September 10. Arun Jaitley passed away on August 24, after being on the life-support for almost a week. He was creamted with state honours on August 25. The 'Shradhanjali' program will be held at weightlifting hall in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Jaitley was an immaculate orator and an expectational strategist in the Modi government. With his legal background and political aspirations from a young age, he had developed a magnificent image for India.

The program will be starting at 4 pm IST and it is likely to end by 7 pm. The former Minister's family members will also be present at the event. Apart from this, several Diplomats and dignitaries will be attending the prayers, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and leaders from the Opposition. The Prime Minister will deliver his condolence message at 6:15 pm and the meeting will be over by 7 pm. Members of Vichar Manch which includes Sangh Parivar, Marg Darshak Mandal, and BJP's Rashtriya Karya Samiti Sadasya have also been invited at the condolence meet.

Arun Jaitley’s cremation  

The BJP veteran was cremated with full state honours at the Nigambodh Ghat in the national capital on August 25. His son Rohan performed the necessary rituals on the day of cremation. Hundreds of mourners had attended Jaitley’s cremation along the banks of the Yamuna river on Saturday, August 25. Senior leaders laid wreaths on the mortal remains and a gun salute was given to bid a final farewell to the 66-year-old BJP stalwart. Arun Jaitley was not doing very well for the last two years of BJP’s previous term. He was diabetic and underwent a kidney transplant and a bariatric surgery in the past. Piyush Goyal was made the interim Finance Minister during the last few months of the previous BJP term. He was a top-notch parliamentarian with flawless oratory and strategy skills. With his on-ground experience as a young politician and a crusader, Arun Jaitley understood the problems of the masses. He worked with the affected during the Emergency and he was arrested for crusading against it.
