Building Collapses In Himachal Pradesh's Solan Killing 2, NDRF Undertakes Rescue Operations

In a shocking incident, two people died in a building collapse at Kumar Hatti-Nahan road in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district. The rescue operations are ongoing and osurces said that 10 people has bene rescued. The event took place after heavy rainfall follwoing which the building collapse. Initially, sources said that 25 people are feared trapped under the debris. The building had a hotel complex in it and as per inputs, the NDRF team from Panchkula have also reached for rescue operation. Some reports also said that army personnel have also been trapped, as they were having lunch at the hotel situated in the buiding. Sources also said that heavy rainfall has obstructed rescue work for a while. 

However, brushing aside the claims that army men had been trapped, sources from the spot said that no army personnel were inside and four army medical teams with doctors has reached the spots. Expressing his grief over the fateful incident, chief minister of Himachal Pradesh Jairam Thakur said that the administration is doing everything to succesfully rescue everone. He added that so far 19 people have been rescued.

BJP working president JP Nadda also tweeted on the incident. He said that he had a conversation with the chief minister of the state related to the rescue operation.
