Hundreds of people gathered outside the CM's office in Gaziabad to protest against the Citizenship amendment bill on December 22. Protestors condemned the BJP's decision commented that the act is 'unfair' and is against Article 14 'Right to Equality' of the Constitution, as it allows only a  certain religion to acquire Indian citizenship. The crowd was seen chanting protest slogan outside the office.
