In a shocking display of VVIP arrogance, former Congress MLA Vikar Rasool is seen threatening a traffic cop for being stopped after he drove on a one-way road.

Rasool was vehicle was plying along the Jammu Srinagar highway. The highway was closed for some time and was opened recently but only allowed the traffic to move one way i.e. from Jammu to Srinagar. However, the former Congress MLA from Baniwal, was moving from Srinagar to Jammu.

After being duly stopped by the traffic police, he began threatening them and even continued to ply along the one-way in the wrong direction of Srinagar to Jammu, thereby breaking the law.

As per video above, the Congress member has a scuffle with a Jammu and Kashmir traffic official over the latter performing their duty of not allowing anyone to drive in the opposite direction. Other officials try to calm him.

Rasool then continues the scuffle and pushes the official to one side. He is adamant that he be allowed to go on the wrong side.

He threatens the traffic cop, saying, "Don't pick a fight. Don't. Don't. I don't want to argue. (Tto his driver) get the car moving. (To the traffic official) I will deal with you. Not a problem. (unclear) I will see you later."

The traffic official tries to inform Vikar Rasool that what he is doing is simply not allowed.

Traffic official says to him, "(unclear) Even if he is your man, you can't take this road Sir. Sir. This (unclear) won't do. (unclear) "

However, Vikar Rasool, pays no heed to the cop and gets in the car and drives off in the wrong direction.

The attitude of VVIP highhandedness is not uncommon and is prevalent across the party lines.

In 2018,  Duryodhan Aihole, BJP MLA from Raybag taluk in Belagavi strict was caught on camera abusing and threatening a KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) depot manager in full public view.
