Congress MLA Tanveer Sait was attacked with a sharp object by a 24-year-old man in Mysore. The incident occurred at an event on late Sunday evening. A man identified as Farhaan attacked the Congress MLA, however, the motive for the same is yet to be ascertained.
Following the attack, Sait was rushed to the Columbia Asia Hospital Mysore and has reportedly sustained injuries. A Police case has been registered after the Mysore Police Commissioner himself visited the Congress leader.

As per the initial probe, the 24-year-old accused has been arrested. The incident, wherein the attacker assaulted Sait with a knife and attempted to flee was captured on film. As per the dramatic visuals, the crowd could be seen rushing the Congress leader to the hospital. Security around the hospital has been beefed up after Sait's supported thronged the place after hearing the news.
