Days after the Patiala High Court granted conditional bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and 11 other AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) leaders in connection to the Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash assault case, Republic TV on Tuesday has accessed the details of the chargesheet filed in the assault case.
In the charge sheet filed against the AAP convenor Kejriwal and 12 other AAP MLAs, two text messages have been mentioned which were sent by Arvind Kejriwal to the Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, asking him to clear the files of TV advertisements related to 3 years completion of the AAP government.
The messages have been sent by Delhi CM to the Chief Secretary, 10 days before the assault, in February 2018. In the text messages, the former can be seen pressurizing the latter to give consent in the advertisements to be placed around the city.
Here is the first text message:
'I am surprised that the file related to VK Jain has not been sent to me. I am asking it officially as chairman of DUSIB. I treat this as insubordination and mischievous on your part. Please take this message on file and implement my orders’: Sent by Arvind Kejriwal to Anshu Prakash on February 9, 2018, at 4:37 PM
Here is the second text message:
‘Are we ready to put out TV ads from 14th Feb? Hope orders have been placed': Sent by Arvind Kejriwal to Anshu Prakash on February 11, 2018, at 12:54 PM
Furthermore, it is stated in the chargesheet that CS Anshu Prakash was threatened by the AAP MLAs when they went to meet him. They said that he (Chief Secretary) will be locked up in a room, if he will not clear the files of TV campaigns. Here are a number of other details from the chargesheet:
Republic TV has also accessed exclusive forensic reports of CCTV from the crime scene. On February 23, four days after the incident, a team from computer forensic unit and physics divisions visited the crime scene where they found that 21 channels (CCTV) were connected to the DVR. However, only 15 channels were recording appropriately while 6 of the channels were found to be malfunctioning. In the chargesheet, it is also mentioned that the time of the DVR was found lagging behind 40 minutes.
AAP leader Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia have been mentioned as the kingpins of the conspiracy who also tried to mislead cops by saying that the meeting was for ration-related problems. Delhi police has now found their claims to be false and incorrect.
