Delhi Government launches doorstep delivery of public services, here's how you can avail services
The Delhi government on Monday rolled out doorstep delivery of public services through which the residents of the national capital will get delivery of various documents including driving license, marriage certificate and ration card at the doorstep.

Speaking at the launching event, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that the initiative will bring about a "revolutionary change in governance."
"Today is a historic day. This will bring a revolutionary change in governance. It is historic not just for the Delhi government, for the people of this city or even for the country, I believe today is historic for the whole world as this experiment is unique," CM Kejriwal said.
"This is a small, but a concrete step towards our goal, but like it has been announced, next month we will start 30 more services and an additional 30 in a few more months. However, we will not be restricted to 100 services; eventually, all of the governance will be available at people's doorsteps. No one will have to come to us, we will go to them," he informed.
Here's how you can avail services:
- Dial 1076 to reach out to the government
- Call centre executive will ask for the service to be provided and they will give a list of documents required to avail services
- In case documents are not available, an appointment may be fixed to provide for the same
- A mobile operator will be appointed who will send an SMS to citizens with details of the service requested, fees etc.
- Operator will reach the citizen at the appointed time
- Mobile operator will then through the mobile app and biometric authentication will take details of the citizens
- Through the government portal, the operator will enter details and upload required documents
- Physical documents will be provided for offline services or as required
- For online services, payments will be made through government gateways
- Cash may be collected from citizens for offline services
- Biometric authentication through Aadhar will be done for application
- OTP may be generated in case of connectivity issues
- A unique reference ID will be generated which the operator will use to submit the application
- A receipt will be provided via SMS or email to the citizens
- At every stage, the citizen will be informed of the status of the application through SMS
- In case physical documents are submitted to the operator, it will be mentioned in the application
- The services will be available for a nominal fee of Rs 50
As many as 40 different services, including the issuance of learner's and permanent driver's license, installation of new water connection, issuance of Caste Certificates for SC/ST/OBC categories, etc will now be available at people's homes in the first phase.
Taking to its official Twitter handle, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released figures from the first day of the service.
