Republic TV spoke exclusively to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis when the BJP leader was addressing a rally in Maharashtra in the wake of upcoming elections in Maharashtra. In his interview, the CM spoke about the Maharashtra elections, his policies for the state and also discussed his personal interests.
The Chief Minister spoke about his personal interests and revealed that he likes listening to music and going for drives.
However, he said he doesn't get much time to pursue his interests.
"I don't find time for myself, I have a lot of interests but I don't get time for them now. If I go for a drive, ill doubt if I'll be able to because t's been months since I last drove,"
He also said he likes listening to songs.
"Whenever I get time I listen to music, I love listening to old Hindi songs. The only difference is that before 2014, I could listen to all the sings but now I don't, he said jokingly."
The Chief Minister also spoke about the alliance with Shiv Sena and said that BJP and Shiv Sena alliance is strong and both the parties will fight the assembly elections together.
"Our relationship is not rocky,we worked together for five years. BJP Shiv Sena and our small allies will together fight as an alliance in the Vidhan Sabha elections," he said.
The CM also spoke extensively about the issues that Maharashtra faces. The Chief Minister admitted to the looming agrarian crisis in the state:
"I won't say that the state is not facing an agrarian crisis, the state is also facing drought, but our last agenda was to get sustainability, and if we focus on this we will definitely achieve our goal of a 'drought-free Maharashtra"
He also spoke about waiving loans for farmers
"When we announced loan waivers, I had said that this is not the end, a loan waiver cannot ever be the last solution for a farmer, my vision was that if a farmer is outside the institutional structure, he will be more vulnerable. That's why it's important to include them in the institutional credit system.
