Dramatic intervention sees Aishwarya Rai remain overnight at Rabri Devi's, even as Tej Pratap heads to father Lalu Prasad to discuss divorce

Amidst the ongoing saga inside the Yadav family in Bihar, where Lalu Prasad Yadav's elder son Tej Pratap Yadav filed a divorce of Friday and then headed to visit his father in hospital, his wife Aishwarya Rai and her parents stayed back overnight at Lalu's wife Rabri Devi's residence and held a meeting with the senior members of the Yadav family, including Tejashwi Yadav and Misa Bharti.

It is reported that Tejashwi and Misa assured Aishwarya that even if Tej Pratap doesn't stay at the residence, she can stay. Sources have stated that there have been numerous efforts made to patch up the relationship between Tej Pratap and Aishwarya.

The ongoing saga has upset both Lalu and Rabri Devi, who have reportedly shed tears watching their family crumble. Though, sources have also mentioned that after meeting his father, Tej Pratap may well withdraw his divorce petition.

Tej Pratap had rushed to Ranchi to meet his father Lalu Yadav in hospital on Friday. Sources say that Tej Pratap called his father to inform him that he is coming to meet him. However, none of the family members nor the party workers were willing to speak on this.

In the petition, Tej Pratap has stated that he doesn't want to live with his wife and want a divorce. Sources say that due to Tej Pratap's behaviour there were differences between the couple for some time.

Sources added that concerned over the relationship, Aishwarya's father Chandrika Rai had recently gone to meet Lalu in Ranchi hospital. Aishwarya is the granddaughter of former Bihar CM Daroga Prasad Rai.

Earlier there were reports of differences between brothers Tejashwi and Tej Pratap and the latter had expressed his angst against Tejashwi's coterie openly on Facebook and Twitter twice, only to later allege that BJP and RSS had hacked his Facebook account. During that period Tej Pratap had also said that his wife had also asked him to take action against those who are trying to sideline him. Their elder sister Misa Bharti had also confirmed the friction between the brothers.
