Actor-turned-politician Hema Malini is donning her thespian hat (figuratively) once again, announcing that her "dream project" is ready for release at last.

Taking to Twitter, Hema Malini, who is the Lok Sabha Member of Parliament for the Mathura constituency in Uttar Pradesh representing the BJP, has posted that she will be performing her dance ballet on "Ma Ganga" at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Varanasi. Alongside the announcement, she has also revealed a glimpse of her eponymous look from the ballet.

The 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday at his Lok Sabha constituency. The theme of this year's three-day convention is 'role of Indian diaspora in building a new India', with the ongoing Kumbh Mela to also set to feature as the delegates will be taken for a visit to the tent city that has been pitched at Prayagraj to host the largest spiritual gathering in the world.

The chief guest at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time in recent months that Hema Malini is visiting Varanasi. In December she had visited the holy city after a number of years and had expressed her delight at the developmental changes that have taken place there, specifically remarking on the cleanliness as she took a boat ride on the Ganges.

At that time as well, the iconic actor had put up a performance, on her ballet 'Durga'.
