Dussehra: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Rawat takes part in celebrations

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat, participated in the Dussehra Mahotsav and urged people to celebrate it with peace and brotherhood

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat, participated in the Dussehra Mahotsav in his State. During the event, he urged the people to celebrate the festival with peace and brotherhood. Apart from this, Rawat also witnessed the burning of the Ravana effigy at the event. Additionally, Rawat attended Ram Leela or the famously known play enacting the life tales of Lord Ram during the event.

Uttarakhand CM, Trivendra Singh Rawat, during the celebrations said that the festival of Dussehra marks the victory of good over evil. "This festival gives us the message of eliminating the wrongs in society. If we can do that, then only we can develop a good society and nation. Dussehra is a part of Indian culture. This festival marks Lord Ram's victory over Lanka's Ravan. Lord Ram is a symbol of Indian culture and idealism,” Rawat added. CM Rawat, also tweeted saying, "After worshiping Lord Shri Ram at the Dussehra Festival organised by the eligible Dussehra Fair Committee, Doiwala, burnt effigies of Ravana, Meghnad, Kumbhakarna."

CM Kejriwal hails Delhiites on Dussehra 

The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, also celebrated Dussehra with the people of the capital city near the Red Fort. He congratulated the Delhiites for their contribution towards the Dengue elimination campaign. He said, "We have to defeat Raavan-like forces in the society. Doctors were saying dengue will increase this season but through our campaign against dengue, people of the national capital slayed the deadly dengue and brought it under control. Pollution has started reducing in Delhi and it has reduced by 25%. On the eve of Diwali, the Delhi government has planned a laser show at Connaught Place, and I invite all of you to come there”.

Dussehra Celebrations in Bihar 

As all the States around the country celebrated the festival of Dussehra in many unique ways, Bihar also had its own style. Visitors from Russia and Ukraine reveled the Dussehra celebrations in Patna. The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, also celebrated Dussehra in the capital state of Bihar. He was seen offering prayers and honouring the people who played Ram and Laxman in Ram Leela. Also, two huge Ravana effigies were burnt in Patna's Gandhi Maidan on Tuesday.
