'Every mother has a special power, my mother's is ...' writes Smriti Irani's in her beautiful post on Mother's Day

Union Minister Smriti Irani on the occasion of Mother's Day shared a heartfelt post about her mother. The BJP leader shared an instagram post on her mother where she spoke about her strengths.

In the emotional post she spoke about what her mother being fiercely independent even in her old age. Saying that all mothers have a special power, she also shared the same about her own mother. 

"Fiercely independent, my Ma chose to live life on her terms even when it was most inconvenient. Notice the white board behind her with numbers of doctors. Her strict instructions to all , if something happens to her these are the first people to call. I asked her why none of her kids feature on the board. She said Moms are the ones you fall back on in times of trouble and asked me to put her number on my emergency list instead. Every Mom has a special power. Mine gave me wings to fly and the confidence that if anything ever goes wrong there is always Mom to help nurture me and put me back on my feet. #happymothersday to my Ma and all those great Mums out there," she said.

Irani had earlier proudly shared her children's scores from CBSE results.

Smriti Irani is contesting polls against Rahul Gandhi from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. 

On Sunday, 59 constituencies, six states and one Union territory will go to polls to seal the fate of 979 candidates in the 2019 Parliamentary elections. Voting is taking place for 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 10 in Haryana, eight seats each in West Bengal, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, seven in Delhi and four in Jharkhand.
