Ex-MP CM Babulal Gaur passes away, PM Modi condoles demise

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled the demise of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP politician Babulal Gaur.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled the demise of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP politician Babulal Gaur.

PM Modi said that Babulal the BJP leader continuously worked to strengthen the party. Here's Prime Minister Modi's series of tweet expressing his condolences:

"The death of Babulal Gaur ji was deeply sad. May God provide patience and strength to the bereaved family in this hour of grief. Om Shanti!" he said 

Babulal Gaur passed away due to cardiac arrest in Bhopal Wednesday morning. He was 89. PM Narendra Modi said Gaur served people for decades and transformed the state.

PM Narendra Modi also said:

"Babulal Gaur Ji's long political life was devoted to the service of the masses. From the time of the Jana Sangh, he worked hard to make the party strong and popular. His work for the development of Madhya Pradesh as a minister and chief minister will always be remembered."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his condolences on Twitter:

"His entire life was devoted to the service of the people of the state." he said

Former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan also expressed his condolences by describing the death of Babulal Gaur as 'End of an era in Madhya Pradesh politics':

"End of an era in the politics of Madhya Pradesh. I am saddened by the demise of Shri Babulal Gaur, former Chief Minister, our guide and leader of the people. Pray to God to provide peace to the departed soul and to provide the family with the ability to bear this profound sorrow. Om Shanti"

Chouhan also mentioned Gaur as a soldier fighting for the interests of the workers and the downtrodden. 

"The venerable Babulal Gaur will always be remembered as a soldier fighting for the truth and a protector of the interests of the workers, the poor and the weaker sections. From the Goa liberation movement to the Emergency, the heroes who fearlessly confront police lathis will remain alive in our hearts for ages." he said
