Following all the accused being acquitted in the 2G scam, Republic TV spoke to another politician who is hopeful of a similar verdict in a case that involves him.

The verdict in the Fodder Scam is expected on Saturday and on the eve of D-Day, Republic TV spoke to RJD chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Speaking to Republic TV's Prakash Singh, Lalu alleged that he had been targeted for over two decades because he fights on behalf of the backward classes.

When the topic of the 2G and Adarsh housing society scams came out, Lalu joined the Congress chorus, echoing how the scams were made up and utilised by Narendra Modi to come to power.

Unequivocally, he alleged a media trial and said he hoped for a verdict similar to the other two cases.

We expect that the judiciary will give us justice. I'm not a negative person; I'm a positive person.

Meanwhile, ahead of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav finding out on Jan 3 the quantum of sentence in the Fodder scam case in which he's been convicted, his wife and fellow former CM Rabri Devi has spoken to Republic TV of how she is worried for him.

After wishing the people of Bihar a Happy New Year, Rabri Devi spoke about how everyone is worried about Lalu Yadav, especially about his health, and that there was nobody in jail to give him medicine and ensure he gets food on time.

Yes everyone's worried. I'm the most worried for Laluji.

She elaborated how it was political vendetta that has landed him in jail as well as the fact that he fought for the poor. She highlighted how another former Bihar CM Jagannath Mishra had been acquitted and repeated Lalu Prasad's age-old contention that the Fodder Scam case should be just one case, not five.
