Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta recently made the headlines for accusing veteran actor Nana Patekar of misconduct on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleassss' in 2008.
The actress, who was last seen on the big screen in 2010, accused the 'Welcome' star of misbehaving with her during the shooting of a special song for the film. Her accusations created a huge stir in the industry and several Bollywood stars spoke up in favour of the actress. Celebs like Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Twinkle Khanna, Simi Garewal, Lisa Ray, Parineeti Chopra have extended their support to the 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' star.
In an exclusive interview with Republic TV's Editor-in-Chief, Arnab Goswami, on Saturday, September 6, Tanushree Dutta revealed that she agreed to do the song after much coaxing.
She said, " I agreed to do the song after much coaxing. I was not sure if I want to do this song, somewhere my intuition was telling me not to do the song, my instincts were telling me rather go on a holiday or something. So, I kept going back and forth, but they really wanted me in the song so they kept coming after me, the producer and director. They convinced me to do the song, they came home and made me hear the song, my dad was there, he is involved in my work, he also takes joint decisions, takes care of my finances and everything. So I was like ok let me do the song it sounds like a nice song. You know when you do an item song, you know we don't make much money making movies as actresses so you supplement your income by doing the songs because then you get shows and events. So, I was like, hey, let's do the song it's a good song."
Meanwhile, Nana Patekar, who was shooting for his upcoming film in Jodhpur, reached Mumbai on Saturday. The veteran actor will reportedly be holding a press conference on October 8. Speaking to Tanushree Dutta, Republic TV earlier revealed that she has her legal team in place and will not let the case end.
