In an exclusive interview with Republic TV's Editor-in-Chief, Arnab Goswami, on Saturday, September 6, Tanushree Dutta revealed that she agreed to do the song after much coaxing.

She said, " I agreed to do the song after much coaxing. I was not sure if I want to do this song, somewhere my intuition was telling me not to do the song, my instincts were telling me rather go on a holiday or something. So, I kept going back and forth, but they really wanted me in the song so they kept coming after me, the producer and director. They convinced me to do the song, they came home and made me hear the song, my dad was there, he is involved in my work, he also takes joint decisions, takes care of my finances and everything. So I was like ok let me do the song it sounds like a nice song. You know when you do an item song, you know we don't make much money making movies as actresses so you supplement your income by doing the songs because then you get shows and events. So, I was like, hey, let's do the song it's a good song."
