Former Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta recently shed light on the incident that happened 10 years ago on the sets of the film, 'Horn OK Pleassss'. She accused Bollywood actor Nana Patekar of misconduct on the sets of a song from the movie. Dutta claimed that the choreographer, Ganesh Acharya had insisted her on doing intimidate steps with Patekar.
Recently, in an exclusive interaction with Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV, the former actress spoke in detail about the incident and the allegations made by her and the claims made by people she has accused. While talking about why she did not deal one on one with Nana Patekar on the sets, she said, "His energy was very dense, dark and intimidating. It is the kind of vibe, if it is bothering you and that kind of person is harassing you, the first instinct would not be to deal with him. I chose to go to someone in authority and so I complaint to the producer and the director."
Dutta said that she has never been a confrontational person. "I do not regret not confronting him as that is the culture we grow up in. We do not confront anybody. I went and complained as he was not supposed to be on the set and that is a fact. And they said they will take care of it. "
She had also said that Nana Patekar, was initially not supposed to be a part of the song and it was only meant to be picturised on her. However, the actor was present on the set on all days. She went ahead and strongly complained to the producer and director of being uncomfortable around Nana Patekar and demanded that he leave the set. Instead, the actress said, "They came to me two hours after I complained to do an intimidate step with the actor."
After the allegations were made by Tanushree Dutta, Rakesh Sarang, the director of the film claimed that Tanushree misunderstood the enthusiasm of Nana Patekar, while producer Sami Siddiqui claimed that she had some working problem. To this Tanushree Dutta said that , "What I thought about that situation was that 'how dare you complain about my proximity and now you will have to do a dance step, where I will feel you completely and you won't be able to say anything'."
Meanwhile, Tanushree Dutta has received two legal notice, one each from Nana Patekar and Vivek Agnihotri. She had accused Vivek Agnihotri of asking her to strip naked on the sets of the film 'Chocolate' in 2005. Dutta has been receiving multiple threats from the political party MNS and Nana Patekar, and is currently under police protection. Nana Patekar and Ganesh Acharya will be holding a press conference on October 8.
