Tanushree Dutta's allegations on veteran actor Nana Patekar has created a massive stir in the industry. Tanushree accused Patekar of misbehaving with her on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleassss' in 2008 while the duo was shooting for a special song for the film. In her previous statement, the 'Dhol' actress has also lashed out at renowned choreographer Ganesh Acharya alleging that he pressurised her for an intimate sequence in the song which was supposed to feature Tanushree's solo performance instead of a duet. Tanushree further went on to accuse the producer of the film, Sami Siddiqui and director Rakesh Sarang for harassing her on the sets of the film.
Amid allegations made by Tanushree on veteran actor Nana Patekar, the actor had flown to Jaisalmer to shoot for the fourth instalment of Sajid Khan' Housefull' series. The film has an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde to name a few. After the allegations made by Tanushree, Patekar, with the help of his lawyer, Rajendra Shirodkar, slapped the actress with a legal notice demanding a written apology for maligning his image. Nana Patekar is expected to hold a press conference in Mumbai on October 8.
On Saturday, October 6, Republic TV tracked Nana Patekar as he was leaving for Mumbai from the Jodhpur airport. He was surrounded by armed officials as he got escorted into the airport. Nana avoided any questions asked by the media. The armed officials surrounding the 'Welcome' actor blocked him well enough for him to evade any question. Nana Patekar was repeatedly questioned about being silent about the allegations made by actress Tanushree Dutta. However, Patekar evaded all the questions as he walked into the airport choosing not to make any comment on the same.
Speaking to Republic TV earlier, he doled out details about the matter saying, "We sent out the legal notice to Tanushree on Friday evening and she will receive it by end of the day today. The allegations have been denied and we have also asked for an apology in writing. We have also said that you knew that the allegations were false still made it in the view to malign and defame my client and he has received several calls where people have been surprised and that by itself is amongst the defamation. And we have said in case you don't send an apology, we will file criminal proceedings against you."
