Tanushree Dutta returned to India in the hopes of a holiday but the actress never imagined what would unfold few months post her arrival. An incident that took place back in 2008 on the sets of 'Horn Ok Please' resulted in Tanushree Dutta accusing Nana Patekar of sexual misconduct. As fate would have it, this news resurfaced after a decade leaving the entire country slowly opening up to the 'Me Too' movement that created waves in the West. The issue that has taken a legal turn is taking its course with Nana Patekar holding a press conference in the next few days.
In the wake of the recent affair, Tanushree Dutta exclusively caught up with Republic TV Editor-In-Chief Arnab Goswami, where she doled out details on what followed post the incident. Sharing an anecdote, the actress revealed unknown details of the pressure tactics used to shut her up before filing a case. "There was some guy who was Nana's friend but was pretending to be our well-wisher. He communicated with a friend of mine, called a friend of mine said, "I want to help Tanushree." When my friend told me that oh this is Nana's lawyer friend, so my first thing was why would I want to speak to Nana's lawyer? Then the next day she called me and said, 'No no no, he knows Nana, he wants to help you'. Any which ways, the meeting was set up and that guy came home and he's telling Nana wants to do a court case on you but don't worry, I will convince him to not do it because you are a woman and everything and I am really concerned about you. Nana tried to issue a threat indirectly. That person is now a High Court judge. Even if I find his name out, my dad would remember, he would simply deny. What exactly happened was on the same hand, he was trying to find what we were thinking of doing. We are clueless, we were like so much has already happened with us, we are finding it hard to function. That guy came to us trying to be nice and helpful, we are so confused."

While the actress refrained from naming the present High Court Judge, she went on to say that today she feels stupid for letting him in her house and threatening her. "Today I am wiser, smarter, older and I feel so stupid that we even allowed somebody to come into our home and threaten us. We told him that we don't know what to do, you tell us. He said don't get into all these legal matters, because right now you have to go to the police station and if you get into all these legal matters the case will go on for 5-10 years. And Nana is very sure, he is very offended. He wants to sue you but I will make him understand, don't worry. He will not file a court case on you. And I remember during that one conversation he said something to the effect when I asked him if he does file a court case what will happen. He was like there will be some investigation and if they put you in a lockup for a day then it will be a problem. We were freaked out," she concluded.
