Amid the power tussle between BJP and Shiv Sena, a follower of the outgoing Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday performed a ritual by walking barefoot to Ganesh Mandir Tekdi and prayed that Fadnavis led BJP government is formed again in Maharashtra. The man identified as Vipin Telgote performed the ritual by bowing down in reverence as he reaches the temple. He also wore a t-shirt having 'Mai Bhi Devendra' printed on it in Hindi, with BJP's lotus symbol below it. People also held posters with pictures of Fadnavis on it. Speaking to ANI, Telgote said,

"I have come here along with other members of a fan club of Fadnavis. I will offer a flower garland to Ambedkar's statue here and later we all will be visiting Ganesh Ji Tekdi Temple. We will pray for Fadnavis to become our CM again,"

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday said that the party has not given up its demand for the chief minister post for Uddhav Thackeray and 50:50 power-sharing formula. Raut had earlier claimed that 170 MLAs had given support to the party. "This is not about pride or ego. They have a figure of 105. They should have staked their claim to form the government on October 24 itself," he said.

The party mouthpiece has been slamming BJP over several political events unfavourable to its political standing and claimed that it can't form the majority government without the Shiv Sena.
