Fire In High-rise In Mumbai's Chembur Claims Five Lives

A Level-2 fire has broken out in Chembur area on the 14th floor of Sargam Society near Ganesh Garden in Tilak Nagar Mumbai

Update at 11:44 PM: The fire has doused and the cooling operation is underway

 


Update at 11:10 PM: The death toll has risen to five. One fireman is reportedly injured


Update at 10:56 PM: Fire is reported to be under control now.  


Update at 10:18 PM: Three people have been reported dead by the doctor on arrival at the hospital in the level-3 fire that broke out, one has been admitted due to suffocation at the Rajawadi hospital. Firefighting operation is still underway. 


Update at 10:10 PM:  Firefighters rescue 3 persons with serious burn injuries, the fire appears to have doused. 


Update at 9:50 PM: Fire in Mumbai's Chembur area has been declared as level-3 fire. Firemen have rescued one person with burn injuries and the process of rescuing others is on-going. The injured has been admitted to Rajawadi hospital in Ghatkopar, Mumbai


Level-2 fire has broken out in Chembur area on the 14th floor of Sargam Society near Ganesh Garden in Tilak Nagar Mumbai. As per reports, five fire tenders have reached the spot to extinguish the blaze. No casualties have been reported.
