Former COAS General JJ Singh Slams Imran Khan's Minister's Divisive Appeal, Asks Twitter To Ban Malicious Accounts

  • He has sought a Twitter ban against Pakistan's Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain

Former Indian Army chief General Joginder Jaswant Singh has slammed Pakistan's Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain for spreading malicious content on social media in an effort to create unrest and rifts within the Indian Armed Forces. 

General JJ Singh hit out at the Pakistani neta's attempt to induce divisiveness among the Indian Army and vowed that no soldier will be influenced by the words of the enemy. He called for a ban on the verified Twitter accounts of people spreading fake information in an attempt to harbour hate and disrupt the peace in the country in addition to the attempts made to create a rift between soldiers of the Indian Army.  

Former COAS General JJ Singh lashed out at the Pakistani neta and asked for strong action to be taken against Imran Khan's ministers spreading fake news and rumors. Talking to Republic TV, General JJ Singh said, "Twitter must ban these people and must thoroughly investigate the matter. These malicious accounts spreading fake information and hatred must be banned  and strong action must be taken against Pakistan ministers."

What Fawad Hussain had tweeted

Pakistan politician Ch Fawad Hussain had issued an abhorrent and flawed-at-conception tweet appealed to Indian Army soldiers along communal lines, even as his government and the Pakistani deep state abandoned all pretence, tweeting fake news and videos by the dozen to make it appear as though the situation is Kashmir is anything but normal.

Security Forces call out fake news:

Even as the government, the Home Ministry, the state Police in Jammu and Kashmir and Republic TV ground report shows that there has been peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir, mischievous elements are continuously propagating fake news. Calling out the fake news peddled regarding the situation of Kashmir after abrogation of Article 370, now CRPF has said that these are 'baseless and untrue'. The CRPF clarified that security forces are working for bonhomie in the state. 

In this context, on Monday, the J&K police also issued notice to Twitter demanding details of an account that had spread fake news about the security situation in the state:
