  • Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has dared on Ram Mandir, stating that the saints will not wait for the top court’s verdict in the case
  • The VHP has also said that the high-powered committee of the Hindu saints will impress upon the government to bring out a legislation for the construction of Ram Temple as soon as possible

Even as the Supreme Court will commence hearing in the title dispute of the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case in Ayodhya from October 29, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has dared on Ram Mandir, stating that the saints will not wait for the top court’s verdict in the case and the high-powered committee of the Hindu saints will impress upon the government to bring out a legislation for the construction of Ram Temple in the disputed land in Ayodhya as soon as possible.

“The Supreme Court may hear the case or may adjourn it. But, the high-powered committee of the Hindu saints has decided that we should not wait for the Supreme Court judgement. They have also stated that we should impress upon the government, to bring out a legislation for the construction of the Ram Temple as soon as possible. It is imperative that the matter of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple is not delayed any further. And be it the court or the law, it has to be built right now,” Alok Kumar, President of VHP said, speaking in the matter.

Earlier on October 5, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, along with several saints and seers, came together for a meeting, where they chalked out the demands to be put forward in front of the government relating the construction of Ram Temple. VHP-led backers of Ram Mandir also gave an ultimatum to the government on this matter. Stating that the parliament should chalk out a law on the construction of Ram Mandir by bringing in an ordinance, they had met President Ram Nath Kovind also to put forward their appeal for the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Previously, leaders of BJP and Shiv Sena have also been aggressively pitching for Ram Mandir for many years now. The Supreme Court in its 2:1 majority judgment on September 27, had rejected the plea to refer the case to a larger bench and had ruled that the matter will be treated as a ‘land issue’. While delivering the verdict, the Supreme Court also batted for the speedy disposal of the case.
