Amid the pomp and pageantry, US President Donald Trump's visit to the United Kingdom and the Buckingham Palace had its own glitches and political punches.

From calling the Mayor of London a 'stone cold loser' to breaking the Royal protocol and the good old' Donald Trump baby blimp, here's is everything that went downhill during the US President's visit.

Trump effigy

The 6 meters large, the round, orange, seemingly-frustrated, nappy-wrapped blimp will be flying again in the skies of London.

While the world is acquainted with the inflated Donald Trump, this time London saw an addition to the list of Trump effigy. A 16 feet robot of the US President sitting on a golden toilet while tweeting, was wheeled across Trafalgar Square.

The creator of the robot, Don Lessem said that the 'Dump Trump' speaks and makes farting noises. And the statue cost him 25,000 dollars of his own money.

Royal Protocol

The US President may have broken the royal protocol on Monday at the banquet dinner at the Buckingham Palace by lightly touching Queen Elizabeth II.

Pertaining to the exhaustive list of royal protocols, touching the Queen has long been considered one of the greatest taboos and is an unwritten rule about how people are expected to behave around the royal family. One Should not touch the queen unless she offers her hand first.

After giving a glowing speech about the courage of British soldiers on D-Day and the close ties the US and the UK share, Mr. Trump proceeded to briefly and gently put his left hand out behind the Queen. However, the Queen seemed unperturbed by the unprecedented gesture.

Trump gift gaffe

Trump was shown a statue of a horse by the Queen, seeing which he looked a bit puzzled. However, Melania was quick to point out that the statuette was gifted by Trump to the Queen less than a year ago.

The anecdote was shared by The Sun's Royal correspondent, Emily Andrews, on Twitter. "Trump was also shown the pewter horse that he'd given the Queen last year in his visit to Windsor. He was asked if he recognised it and he said "no"! Melania came to his rescue and said: "I think we gave that to the Queen" she tweeted on Monday.

Owing to the fact that Queen Elizabeth II has gifted Trump with a 1959 first edition of The Second World War by Winston Churchill and a three-piece Duofold pen set, this present gaffe may well continue into the next Anglo-US meeting.

Political feud with Mayor of London

The President infamous for his tweets, called Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London 'nasty' and a 'stone cold loser'. He further went on to compare the Mayor of London with the 'very dumb and incompetent' Mayor of New York City.

Greeting to the United Kingdom

Unlike former President of US Barack Obama, Donald Trump was greeted with empty streets. However, Trump was just happy to see 'no protests' and went on to say that the 'Fake News' will be working hard to find them.

Meanwhile, protesters have vowed to bring Central London to a standstill on Tuesday by staging protests against Trump. The protest titled 'Together Against Trump' will assemble at the Trafalgar Square in London and will march towards Prime Minister Theresa May's residence, where both the leaders are scheduled to meet.

The Trumps are currently on a three-day official state visit to the UK. Gun salutes in Green Park and at the Tower of London greeted the family upon their arrival in Buckingham Palace on Monday.
