This comes three days after the killing of Jammu and Kashmir state secretary of the BJP Anil Parihar and his brother Ajit Parihar. They were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the state's Kishtwar district on Thursday. As per reports, they were shot from point-blank range with pistols.

J&K BJP chief Ravinder Raina termed it as 'cowardly act' and said:

"This is a cowardly act. Anil Parihar fought the terrorists bravely. He always upheld the Indian flag even during the most turbulent times in the state. There was intelligence that 8-10 Pakistani terrorists had infiltrated. We approached higher authorities, but sometimes, we can falter in assessing intelligence reports. This attack could have been avoided".

Mobile Internet services suspended in Kishtwar district of Jammu division.
