There was a time when Raj Thackeray was seen as a “Next Big Thing Of Maharashtra Politics”. He launched his party in the year 2005 and within the span of four years, he became the 'face of Marathi Manoos' after his uncle Bal Thackeray. Even though his party could not win even a single seat in the Lok Sabha election, every candidate of MNS acquiring more than a lakh votes, was a very big achievement for a four-year-old party.

However, in the last few years, his political graph has fallen drastically.

It seems that Raj Thackeray has learnt a lesson from his failure and has been trying to rebuild his party again.

As Lok Sabha elections are around the corner, Raj Thackeray has decided to take a tour of the entire state in order to get a better hand at the problems faced by people in different parts of the state. In the first part of his Maharashtra tour, Raj visited the Amravati district. During his visit, he met various social workers, teachers, tribals residing in the areas.

On the last day of his visit, Raj Thackeray addressed a rally and launched a scathing attack on ruling party. He said:

"During my tour, I met many people. They gave me so many request letters. The issues which were mentioned in the request letters are pending for many decades. I also visited an extremely remote village of Amravati. There is a school in this village in which only one student has passed the exam. Is this how the Sena-BJP government has implemented the education policy in the state? You will be surprised to hear what the villagers told me. They want a bank in their village to withdraw money as they have to walk 50 kilometres to do the same. Is this your digital India Narendra Modi?

Raj Thackeray further alleged that the ruling government shows a false figure and make false promises. "I have never seen a government who speaks so much lie", he said.

"Not only the people of Nashik, where we ruled municipal corporation, but also the people of other regions agree that no one could match up the work MNS did in just 5 years. We have set an ideal model of development in Nashik", he added.

"In the end, I only want to say that the people of this state neither want the earlier regimes nor the current government, just give us one chance to rebuild Maharashtra”.
