Congress leader from UP Dr Karan Singh has asked for a Mata Sita statue along with the proposed Lord Rama Statute in Ayodhya. He also said that the size of the Lord Ram statue be halved and Mata Sita statute be also constructed at the site.

Suspended BJP MP from Bihar's Darbhanga, Kirti Azad had also in November hit out at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanding Mata Sita statue. He said that that constructing a statue of Lord Ram without Goddess Sita will be not only an insult of the goddess but of the entire female population.

Taking it to Twitter, Kirti Azad, who got suspended from BJP in 2015, wrote 'erecting Lord Rama's statue at Ayodhya without goddess Sita is not only her insult but of Mithila and the entire female population':

As Ayodhya is taking the centre stage with many parties pushing the government for the construction of Ram Temple, five architect firms gave a presentation before UP CM Yogi Adityanath providing a blueprint for the construction of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. The statue would be 221-metre tall, that will make it the tallest structure in the world.

As per the press release by Uttar Pradesh government on November 25, here are the full dimensions of the statue that has been finalized:

Actual size of the statue: 151 metres

Chatra: 20 metres

The base or the podium: 50 metres

Full length of the structure: 221 meters

In the pedestal under the statue, the Uttar Pradesh government has finalised to build a museum that will showcase the history of Ram Janmabhoomi and related subjects.

Besides the museum, an airport in the name of Lord Ram, a medical college and hospital to be named after Lord Ram's father and King of Ayodhya Dashrath and Ram Ji Ki Paidi, like Hari Ki Paidi in Haridwar will be among the other developmental projects that were announced by Yogi Adityanath government in the first week of November.
