Due to very heavy rains in Mumbai area, here are the following trains that are rescheduled /cancelled/partially cancelled:

Indian Meteorological Department:  

Intermittent heavy showers are expected in Mumbai on Tuesday. 

Extremely heavy rainfall of over 200 mm was recorded in many parts of the city, more towards suburbs in the last 24 hours. 

A public holiday has been declared in three districts of the state - Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban and Thane district.

Mumbai Police: 

Traffic has slowed down due to waterlogging at Gandhi Market, Sion, LBS Nayak Nagar, Everard Nagar, Kherwadi flyover, Amar Mahal, Khar Subway, Milan Subway, Andheri, Jogeshwari JVLR, Hansmogara junction.

Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis addressed the media over the situation in Mumbai. 

He assured that traffic situation is under control and that pumping stations are functioning across the city to pump out the water 

He said, "Last 2-3 days we have experienced rains which we usually get in a month. Pumping stations are on continuously, water is being pumped out continuously." 

"The government will take up the rehabilitation of all the houses that have been damaged today," he added.

Six pumping stations of MCGM pumped out more than 14000 Million litres of water and discharged it into the sea: BMC

CM Devendra Fadnavis said:

"Second highest rainfall in 45 years was recorded. The average rainfall for the entire month of June was recorded in just 3 days in Mumbai."

"We need total of seven pumping stations and 5 are completed. Numerous efforts are being taken for the remaining two pumping stations by BMC. After the two pumping stations, we will see that problems occurring due to waterlogging will be reduced."

"High-level inquiry will be initiated into the unfortunate incident."

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has initiated a high-level inquiry and has announced ₹5 lakh assistance. He has also asked BMC for another assistance of ₹5 lakh.

State Government will take care of all medical expenses of the injured, he said.

6 died in Pune incident and 3 died in Kalyan.

Devendra Fadnavis has said that the Government will give assistance to their families too.

Meanwhile, the IMD has given heavy rainfall warning for Vidarbha and Marathwada in coming days.

In the wake of heavy rainfall in Mumbai, the city has yet again come to a standstill. 

The Maharashtra government on Tuesday said that only emergency services will remain functional in Mumbai due to the heavy downpour that has affected the road traffic and railways in the city, causing hurdles to commute. 

A public holiday has been declared by the state government on July 2. Authorities have also advised people to avoid stepping out of their homes as the Indian Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains.

The heavy rainfall has submerged the roads and rail tracks. Based on further inputs from other agencies, we have taken the decision to keep emergency services operational. We have appealed to the people not to venture out in this situation, Brijesh Singh, the official spokesperson of the state government, said. 

Mumbai authorities have also diverted 54 flights to the nearby airport on Tuesday morning. 

Several parts of Mumbai received around 100 mm rainfall since Monday morning, affecting trains and the road traffic.

Taking to Twitter the Commissioner of Mumbai Police informed that people of Mumbai should first check weather reports and then plan the day accordingly. He also said that in case of any problem Mumbai Police is available for help.
