A suspected suicide note has been found after spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj died after shooting himself in Indore on Tuesday.
The note, which is being cited by local media reports, has not been authenticated by Republic TV. A picture of the note, scribbled on a small note-pad in pen, is below:
It reads: "Some body should be there to handle duties of family. I am leaving. So much stressed out, fed up"
The police has said that it is probing the 'suicide note' and all other aspects of the death. The pistol used for the suicide has also been recovered.
"We have also received the suicide note and depression and stress is the reason written. But stress for what, we are yet to find out", said Harinarayanchari Mishra, DIG Indore
Earlier, the police had stated that Bhaiyyuji Maharaj was brought dead to the hospital. His family members are said to have been present when he shot himself, though they had to force open the door in order to get to him. They found him lying in a pool of blood. The police is taking the statements of the family members, even as a forensic team is at the location, Republic TV has learnt.
A number of political leaders have asked for a probe to be initiated into the death of Bhaiyyuji Maharaj.
D Raja of the CPI has also asked for a probe into Bhaiyyuji Maharaj's death.
