Here's why Anand Mahindra is optimistic about India's future as he attends the swearing-in ceremony of PM Modi and his new cabinet

Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India for a second consecutive term on Thursday at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan which started at 7 pm in the presence of nearly 8,000 guests, from India and across the globe. Along with PM Modi, the Union Council of Ministers also took the oath-to-the-office.

Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra was among the guest witnessing the mega event on Thursday. Taking to Twitter, the business tycoon praised the management of the ceremony stating that it started and finished right on time without unnecessary additions to the program. 

He further added that with speed, focus and efficiency is symbolic of how the new government will work, then it's time to be optimistic about the future. He further congratulated PM Modi and his new team. 

In another tweet, he shared a picture of the Rashtrapati Bhawan, saying that "The art of creating ceremonial ‘shock & awe’ via regal & imposing structures of government is an art mastered not only by China, but us as well.."

Earlier, Anand Mahindra shared a phrase from PM Modi's Parliament address, which he said stood out for him from his speech:

Taking to Twitter, Anand Mahindra stated that PM Modi's quote "Ab hamara koi paraya nhi ho sakta hai" (Now, no one will be a stranger to us). He added that the phrase should "eventually become as memorable as 'Tryst with Destiny'. Stating that 'all economic goals are secondary, Anand Mahindra stated that 'this aspiration is far more vital'. 

On Thursday evening, with a massive line-up of ministers with quite a few familiar faces and many new entrants, a total of 58 ministers were inducted in the Council of Ministers.
