BJP President Amit Shah slammed the Congress Party for the coinage of the term ‘Hindu terror’, in an explosive interview with Republic TV’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami.
Shah said that Congress has done the ultimate sin of disrespecting this country by coining the term ‘Hindu Terror’.
"It is clear that the term 'saffron terror' was brought up as a part of a conspiracy for vote bank consolidation. Whichever case it is, if this is what they want to do, I just want to ask, all accused were acquitted in the Mecca Masjid blast case, the court had no evidence against any of them, so the ones who were arrested earlier, who let them free? And what right do they have to disrespect the culture of the country by using terms such as saffron terror? Congress has ultimate sin of disrespecting this country. Can there be something like 'Hindu terror'? Can terrorism have any religion? Can terrorism be linked to any culture?," questioned Shah.
The BJP President also emphasised on the fact that terrorism has no colour and his party has never given colour to terrorism.
"You can do whatever you want to for vote-bank politics and consolidation. We have never given colour to terrorism. My party has been leading the toughest fight against terrorism. But we have never linked it to any religion. Now it is clear, retired government employees say so, judiciary has given a judgment and the people involved also say so," said Amit Shah.
