Howdy Modi: PM Modi Meets Kashmiri Pandits Ahead Of Mega-event

The Kashmiri Pandits in the USA met PM Modi and thanked him for the abrogation of Article 370. The Bohra and Sikh community also welcomed the Prime Minister.

The Kashmiri Pandits in the USA met Prime Minister Modi and thanked him for the abrogation of Article 370 at Houston. Overwhelmed after seeing the PM, one man was seen holding PM Modi’s hand and thanking him on taking the decision to make Kashmir a union territory. He kissed PM’s hand and said, “We really want to thank you for the work you have done.” Kashmiri Pandits, in large numbers, visited PM Modi ahead of the mega-event, 'Howdy Modi' to be held on September 22. PM received a warm reception from all the Indian communities in the USA including the Sikh and Bohra community.  

PM Meets Bohra Community 

PM also met the Bohra community in Houston, in the video shared by the PMO, we can see the Dawoodi Bohras greeting the PM. The Bohra community facilitates PM Modi with a shawl, wrapping it around his shoulders in a sign of respect. The Dawoodi Bohras are spread over India, Pakistan, Yemen, the Middle East, and East Africa. The community speaks of PM Modi's visit to Indore the previous year, highlighting his friendship with Syedna Sahib. Syedna Sahib is the Dā'ī al-Mutlaq of the Bohra community.
