Howdy Modi: PM Narendra Modi picks up flowers at the Houston Airport

India's PM Narendra Modi who is in the city of Houston to be a part of the "Howdy Modi" event left a lot of people impressed due to his noble gesture.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is presently in the city of Houston to be a part of the 'Howdy Modi' event left a lot of people on the internet impressed by his actions when he immediately picked up flowers fallen on the ground which were a part of a welcome bouquet presented to him at the George Bush International airport. Also, Narendra Modi was greeted by the Director, Trade and International Affairs, Christopher Olson, Indian Ambassador to the US Harsh Vardhan Shringla and US ambassador to India Kenneth Juster.

In the video that showed the Prime Minister's down to earth gesture, women officials can be seen handing over the bouquet to PM Modi and during that particular moment, some flowers fell down and the Indian Prime Minister picked up the flowers and gave it to his security detail.

A 'down to earth' gesture

The PM's spontaneous reactions left a lot of people impressed with many pondering over whether his actions were related to the 'Swachh Bharat' campaign he started in India. 

Many users posted some wonderful messages about the Prime Minister on their Twitter handles as they were impressed with what he had done.

One user talked about how simple the Prime Minister was because his noble gesture at Houston's airport.

 

Another user appreciated the Indian Prime Minister for upholding the Indian Culture.

 

A focus on strengthening ties

The Indian Prime Minister is due to address the large scale 'Howdy Modi' event on September 22 at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. This mega event is expected to have an attendance of approximately 50,000 Indian-American people coming in to see PM Narendra Modi.

With the American President, Donald Trump, travelling to be a part of this historic event, it will showcase the significance of America's bond with India according to Nisha Biswal, president of the USIBC (US India Business Council).
In addition to this, the PM will be part of a round table meeting with the CEO's of companies from the energy sector that will focus on the security of energy and expansion of mutual investments in between India and the United States of America.
