After the arrest of Priyanka Sharma, BJP youth wing worker over sharing a viral Mamata Banerjee meme, BJP leader from Delhi, Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, who was in Kolkata has also been detained by the city police and is being held at New Market police station.

Reacting to the same, actor Vivek Oberoi took to his Twitter handle to post his views on the subject. Here's his tweet -

Counsel for BJP youth wing worker  Priyanka Sharma Neeraj Kishen Kaul will file a contempt plea against the Kolkata police for allegedly making her sign an apology letter before her release from jail and also to recall the apology. Kaul has said that the apology letter was prepared by the Kolkata police which said that she will not post the meme again.

Kaul has said that making Sharma write the apology letter before her release has violated the Supreme Court order.

Meanwhile, following clashes during Amit Shah's roadshow in Kolkata on Tuesday, BJP had complained to the Election Commission to ban Mamata Banerjee's rallies. The party will also hold a protest at 10.30 am in Jantar Mantar. Violent clashes had broken out during BJP president Amit Shah's roadshow in the heart of Kolkata, as sticks were hurled at Shah’s truck and even at the Police who were manning the crowd.  In an attempt to the disrupt the roadshow, the attackers began hitting the Police and along with that, waved black flags, held placards and raised anti-BJP slogans outside the University of Calcutta.
