Days after Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, BJP's candidate from Bhopal Lok Sabha constitution, stoked controversy over her shocking remarks on 26/11 martyr Hemant Karkare, she has created another controversy by saying that she was present during the Babri Masjid demolition in 1992.
In a press briefing on Sunday, Sadhvi Pragya said that she was part of the group that broke the Babri Masjid. She added that she is not denying any of the charges.
Sadhvi Pragya said: "I was present there (Ayodhya). I had broken the structure. I had demolished the structure. I will go there again. I will help in the construction of our Ram Temple. It is not a controversial issue. Ram Temple was there and I will help in constructing a magnificent temple of Lord Ram."
She added that she doesn't care about what others say about the controversial issue of Ram temple.
"I don't care what others say. I said what I had to say. Ram Temple will be constructed. Why will I deny the charges. I was present there. I demolished it. Nobody can stop us from constructing the temple. He is my Ram ji... Lord Ram is the nation and nation is Lord Ram. Temple will be there," said Thakur.
(''Mai bilkul gai thi. Mai isse bilkul nahi palat rahi. Mai gai thi. Dhancha toda tha. aur mai bhavya mandir banane jaungi bilkul jaungi. Purn aatma aur viswas ke sath bol rahi hu, ye mere Ram ji hain, mere adarsh hain, meri shraddha hai, meri bhakti hai, Ram rashtra hain, rashtra Ram hain. Isliye Ram ji ka bhavya mandir banane se mujhe koi nahi rok sakta.
Mai gai thi, kahe ka vivadit dhancha, humare Ram ji ka mandir hai. Bhavya mandir banenge, punar nirman karenge uska. Maine keh diya apna vishay, jisko jo kehna hai kahe.'' she said in Hindi.)
